Living the Promise: The Baptismal Covenant

About

In Baptism we are born again by water and the Spirit and given the new life of Christ.  We are incorporated into a new community, the Church, with whom we sojourn to union with God.  Together we are called to be transformed more and more into the image of likeness of Christ.  Together we support and encourage one another as we grow in grace.

This blog is a tool for the members of the Trinity community to come together to share their faith stories and to grow together by learning from each other how to make the Gospel and the call to discipleship meaningful and relevant for busy people trying to follow Christ in a hectic and chaotic world.

The very best way I can praise my Lord is by showing witness to others. I love to hear of how others share their relationship with Christ. God did not bring us to this place except through His grace. For today, and only today, I will present myself to Him and prayerfully glow in His light!

Beautifully siad, Pat. Prayer is always about the NOW- we can repent of the past and learn from the mistakes there, but we can’t live there. We can dream of the future and hope for what is to come, but that isn’t here yet. We only have this moment to offer to God and others. Blessed Angela Foligno- a 13th century Franciscan Nun and mystic, once said, “the past is dead, the future yet unborn; we only have this moment.”
